Cindy Butler – 10 Years
Massage Therapist registered with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC)
Cindy has been practicing massage for over 10 years and has worked in spa, gym and massage clinic environments. She uses a variety of techniques and combines different modalities to help ease pain and tension in muscles and joints. Cindy’s former career in disability management required her to oversee the medical care provided to individuals who were returning to the workplace following disease or injury and has a thorough understanding of what is required physically to perform the duties of a variety of jobs
Cindy is experienced at accurately assessing causes of physical limitations and impairments and utilizing appropriate manual soft tissue manipulation techniques. She also relies on Graston Technique, Cupping and Craniosacral therapy and in many situations will combine techniques and modalities to address adhesions and restrictions and restore and improve range of motion in order to increase performance and return to normal functioning. Clients especially appreciate her ability to provide deep tissue massage.
In March 2018, Cindy will become a Certified Somatic Experiencing practitioner. This modality is a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders.
Cindy believes in the mind-body approach to health and understands that each individual is constantly working towards a good balance, purposefully as well as subconsciously. Health is maintained by managing the needs of the mind and body. Massage therapy techniques and related modalities that meet the whole person’s needs are some of many ways to keep a good balance.
